since Friday

Photos were taken

It was late in the day

But earlier that day...

I had seen a bee in the roses

and liked these colors

and spied contempt

I did purchase a camera which fires its four lenses in a time delayed series. I took eight photos and then promptly broke it on accident with brute like force.

alias

I was just over at twitter and I was wondering, if ever, the real Timothy Green thinks about me.

Four out of five of those letters are actually in my actual last name, and in that same order.

I bet he wishes that he was cool like me.

stupid makes me crazy

If you ever want to see me a little bit riled-up then just say a series of stupid things when I know you're not stupid.

"No, wait! Does that make any sense?" I asked.

"What?"

"What you just said."

"No, but that's what I was told."

"You don't have to believe anything that doesn't make any sense."

and you probably shouldn't

I need a vacation but everywhere I go, there I am

Lady G's mother was complaining that Little g's room was on the top floor as she was making her way up the three flights of stairs. She told me that I could go on ahead but I held back so that I could still see were people were going without losing sight of her.

"At least she'll have a view," I said not knowing if that were true or not.

While I was dropping off Little g to Eye Doll camp, I stole some snacks. One such snack was a fruit roll up type thing which I found out doesn't handle the heat too well but my niece made the best of it until we tossed it into the freezer.

I was told I was lacking shots of the youngest niece.

mindless is not the same as unminded

I don't mind pressing my luck but I try to avoid tempting fate.

Sunday

On Sunday my usual end of the bar was occupied so I sat with the older regulars. There were two young guys and two middle aged guys sitting by the taps. The younger guys started to talk about their buddy Shawn. One of them left to get their little friend. Shawn turned out to be a garden gnome.

They were young, drunk and acting foolishly. I kept an ear on their conversation because they seemed like potential trouble; greater trouble than a five foot two bartender might like to handle.

A shot glass ended up getting broken and the one with the muscles decided that he would chew on some of the broken bits. He proved his manliness by spitting the glass into his hand and then dumped the pink spittle concoction onto the black granite bar.

They left after that.

Saturday

Saturday, her mother was in the passenger seat and her and her daughter sat in the back watching Grey's Anatomy.

"Do you know where you're going?" her mother asked. I've never been to Northfield before but I've been in the area, I had a map and mapquest directions so I said "Pretty much."

We got there in pretty good time. We hung around a bit. I scoffed up some free snacks that I'm certain weren't for friends or family and also walked off with a sign which Lady G said she wanted to steal.

My drinking habits came up. I stated that I wasn't the only one in the car that liked to drink. That didn't seem to matter much, so I just let them talk.

Her mother asked if I knew the way back.

"Yup."

"You just go back the way you came?"

"Yup."

"And you remember the way?"

"Yup."

"You don't ever get lost?" And there it was, the question that judges my character. There is never an exchange where a question doesn't come up where I'm not judged. I know she had been waiting the whole trip for me to make a wrong turn or miss an exit or drive passed a street I supposed to turn onto. I had only briefly looked at the directions once we were under way because I knew she would immediately mention something about me not knowing where I was. She the type of person who sees failure in anything that is incorrect; I see failure as a learning process.

"Oh, I get lost. It's just that I don't worry too much about it."

Her mother's a fast talker but she had nothing to say after that her daughter broke the silence by saying that "He always gets where he's going."

Her mom then read a book for the last hundred miles.

Friday

"I'm giving up drinking."

"Why"

I just shrugged.

"Is it your liver?"

"No. Not yet."

"Yeah, eventually it will get to you. Stop Monday."

Monday seemed like a good day to stop. I could still drink for the rest of Friday and then see Emily on Sunday before calling it quits.

I was half way through my first pint after work when my phone rang. It was the second job; the owner would be going on vacation and she wished to get some things done. I was hoping to get a check for the first in over two months so I went in without much fuss and my plans for Saturday included driving two hundred and fifty miles, so not getting hammered on Friday probably was for the best.

I left with three checks totaling over seven hundred. It wasn't all I was owed but several hundred dollars is usually never a bad thing.

Yeah, I'll look.

We'll watch the people who stand in line at the ATM, a lot just fix their hair in the reflection of the window not seeming to realize that there is a barroom of patrons that can see them on display. I looked over as I heard "Get a load of those two. She just stuck out her tongue and he kissed it."

She looked Native American and a looker. He looked like a dork. They sucked face until it was his turn to use the ATM.

"She can do better than him."

"Maybe he's paying for those kisses."

My buddy watched as they left and said "She's got a nice body on her." I looked over but couldn't see. My feet were resting on the rung of the bar chair so I just stood up to get a better look; I still couldn't see so I shifted to the right as I wondered if the whole thing was worth it. I decided that it wasn't so I sat back down.

"What was all that about?" I was asked from someone further down the bar.

"Nothing."

"Just wanted to see what it was like to be tall?"

"Yeah, but I felt too close to the ceiling, so I guess I'll keep my own height."

Some can resist my charm, or at least that's the rumor.

I believe it's of the unfounded kind.

Don't pay any mind to the moron, please.

"You don't do the chocolates much any more, do you?"

I didn't look at him as I answered that I did. I just don't do it to show off. I'm discrete. It's something he wouldn't understand.

"You have to bring enough for everyone or don't bring anything at all."

"I don't buy into that," I answered still not looking at him.

"What?"

"I don't believe that because if everyone is special, then no one is special."

After that some weirdo started acting up and his attention was diverted. I just ignored the weirdo; I think he mostly just wanted attention and I got irritated at everyone who gave him some.

sometimes, I won't speak a thing

I'm not a very bold photographer mostly because I do believe photos capture a bit of soul and I think it's a bit rude just to go about capturing soul.

I also think photos show a little bit of what's in the taker's soul as well; you folks don't get to see all the photos I take.

She noticed I was in a hurry and that I had my camera with me. She asked me what I was doing. I had just been in the back yard reading the latest copy of PRINT magazine when I looked up and noticed the sky. I didn't answer her, I just opened the front door, passed through the enclosed porch and stood on the tiny front deck as I aimed my camera towards the heavens.

I didn't say what I was doing because sometimes when I speak a thing it seems all too silly and then I won't do it.

I'm glad I kept quiet.

So, I was reading sweaty blistered sneaker toe

and noticed her 'R' rating and I thought heck, I'm more profane than that, so I gave the link a go...
