He was acting like a scolded teenager, looking down and off to the side. He was hearing to the words but he wasn’t listening to them. He was too busy planning his escape from the situation. He was just waiting for the talking to stop so he could leave.
He even pleaded to his wife, raising his gaze from the floor to her face asking “Can we go now?” But my sister understood that the conversation had not been completed, so everyone remained in place.
He said that he was mostly right about his assumptions.
He said he only cares about his side of the story because he is the only one that gets the story correct.
I said “maybe you are always right because you refuse to listen to other people’s opinions”.
He told me that my sister has always spoken highly of me and not only her but my youngest niece and other family members also. And when he repeated it again to try to pivot the conversation. I told him that I didn’t believe him and then looked right at my sister putting her on the spot to either confirm or deny her husband’s words but she was just silent.
What I found out is the he is arrogant and also a coward. He also is willfully stubborn and foolish.
