I am not certain that you can call that coffee.
I hear that coffee should not be brewed for more than four minutes no matter what method is used, and Alton Brown is one of the sources I have heard that from, but I know you do not like to be told what to do, but I am just saying.
You're right, I do not like to be told what to do especially when it comes to coffee. I am a coffee nonconformist. I sometimes brew up to 6 or even 7 minutes while thumbing my nose at society.
I prefer Diet Pepsi.
