I looked there and then there and then back again

I knew everyone in the meeting but all the folks that were assembled usually are not in the same room at the same time. The meeting included a field trip so we all piled into an elevator. There were a lot of movers and shakers in the small box and I wondered what would happen if we all were to be incapacitated at the same time.

Then the elevator abruptly stopped a floor above our stop.

I’ve been working in the building for 15 years and I had visited the building numerous times before I ever had work there; I have never had a problem of note with the elevators.

The guy that was behind me has care and custody of all city owned buildings, so he started to make phone calls. We were out in less than ten minutes but that was of little comfort to the lady having a panic attack.

She had me in and out of the chair. She was very please with what she saw. My eyes are still healthy and I’ve been taking very good care of my contacts.

She handed me over to her assistants so that I could pick out some frames. I told the blond what style I wore last and we went from there. I picked up a copper colored frame which the blond liked but the brunette didn’t so I went with the gunmetal colored frames.

I tried on five or six styles, they all looked similar, they all looked different. I really didn’t care. I deferred to the young ladies and told then so. I'm not the one that has to look at them.

You might get to see them in five days.

I assume five business days.

She didn't charge me all that she could have, I only paid for my glasses which almost caused me to fantasize about her but I didn't because I sort of agreed with someone that I wouldn't.

Nothing wrong with fantasizing, but I hear chastity belts set off metal detectors.

"Sir, are you carrying something metal in your pants."

"Well, I wouldn't say carrying; it's more like it's attached. You're welcome to look but it's going to be awkward mostly for you."

I feel I want to make this conversation happen now. I wonder if it would make the news?
